Evergreen Bank in the Classroom
Throughout the month of February, we have been busy in the classroom educating our youth on the importance of saving, saving strategies, and positive spending decisions.
By using the Teach Children to Save program, our bankers focused each classroom visit on helping students identify money management tactics as well as the importance of budgeting towards lifelong financial goals.
In addition to our classroom visits, we also offer free financial literacy services in the form of a fun, online virtual world game called MoneyIsland. MoneyIsland can be found right on our website and is a great tool that teaches players the basics of saving, spending, investing and sharing. Real-life principles of financial responsibility are taught through the use of interactive videos, quizzes, and online adventure games.

Looking back on 2014
2014 proved to be a busy and exciting year. Throughout the Oak Brook and Evergreen Park communities, we were proud to have sponsored over 15 events and 60 local organizations. In Oak Brook, a few of our sponsored events included the Village of Oak Brook's Taste of Oak Brook and the Oak Brook Park District's Music in the Park and Pink 5k. In Evergreen Park, we participated in the Fourth of July Parade, Evergreen Park's Summer Concert Series, District 124's School Supply Drive and the Village of Evergreen Park's Tree Lighting Ceremony. Our 5th Annual Electronic Recycling and Document Shredding Event, at our Oak Brook location, had the largest turnout to date! 2014 saw the successful addition of two Evergreen Bank branded videos to our You Tube page, highlighting services that make us "A True Community Bank." To top it all off, we were voted the "Best Place to Work in Illinois" by the Daily Herald Business Ledger in the small business category.
2015 promises to be another exciting year. Our goal is to continue our involvement in the community as well as remain financially strong as a company. While planning your year ahead, make sure to visit our Community News and Facebook Page for all updates and events throughout the year!

These gifts will help less fortunate children in our communities experience the joy of the Holiday Season.
Video Recap of our Annual Recycling Event
We are proud to report that our 5th Annual Electronic Recycling and Paper Shredding Event at our Oak Brook location was a success! It was a great opportunity for the community to get together and legally dispose of any pesky, old electronics lying around the house. Document shredding was also available onsite to safely and securely destroy all confidential documents.
We value opportunities like this because it allows us to interact with the community and also lets the community experience what makes Evergreen Bank so special. In addition, we grill food onsite, provide refreshments, and raffle off prizes. What better way to get to know your neighbor than socializing at a BBQ? To top it all off, Pinstripes and Maggiano's donated dessert this year!
We will continue to host this event annually and encourage people to come out, get rid of old items, and support the community. As in years past, all proceeds made from the recycled items are being donated to Butler School District 53.
We'd like to send a special thank you to our event partners, the Oak Brook Park District and the Oak Brook Public Library, for making this event such a great success!

Taste of Oak Brook
This year's 'Taste of Oak Brook' wasn't to be missed! The weather cooperated and the fireworks were spectacular. As a sponsor, we were able to connect with Oak Brook residents and the surrounding communities attending the festivities. Our Evergreen Bank Group tent kept busy with kid's activities, popcorn, prizes, giveaways and a raffle. Once dusk hit, we settled in atop a golf green to watch the firework show. It was a fun event to be a part of and a great way to celebrate the holiday with our community.
